Iceland, where we spent weeks exploring the stunning landscapes of this Nordic island. One of the highlights of the trip was driving around the famous ring road, a 1,332-kilometer highway that circles the entire country. Along the way, we marveled at cascading waterfalls, rugged coastlines, and towering glaciers. We had the chance to immerse yourself in Icelandic culture, sampling traditional cuisine and learning about the country's history and geology. This unforgettable journey through Iceland's dramatic beauty left a lasting impression all of us.

After leading a study abroad trip to Brazil and Argentina, where the students explored the wonders of the Amazon Rainforest, embarked on a captivating river cruise along the Amazon, and marveled at the breathtaking Iguazu Falls from both sides of the border, Professor Polack decided to create a photo book. With meticulous attention to detail, he curated a collection of photographs capturing the vibrant landscapes, fascinating wildlife, and joyous moments of the trip. I aimed to provide a visual narrative that would forever remind the students of their remarkable journey.

Brazil Oasis

What I love so much about travel, is just how much can go wrong, but when it goes right, it is absolute bliss. In the video above, it shows several different pieces of the trip that were so special, and really encapsulate a relaxing time. From the Amazon Rainforest, where we hiked through inches of mud, to the Amazon river where we sped across the water and watched the sunrise, to the forest in Argentina where we prepared for our boat tour.

There are so many different times in travel that things can go incorrectly, as I mentioned above. From flights not being on time or cancelled as a whole, to people getting sick or being tired, travel is not easy and can be incredibly challenging. But something that is so special about travel is getting to take it in. A deep breath, a waterfall, a skiff ride, can all really help to change your attitude and take in where you are in the world.

The video above highlights all the different times that could inspire you to reflect on a trip where you are stressed. While I didn’t feel overwhelmed frequently on this trip, being adaptable and willing to learn is a valuable lesson necessary to make the most of travel. This trip was special in several different ways, but the natural beauty was gorgeous and such a great place to have spring break and take in all the natural world has to offer.
