Places at Peace

On National Boba day (April 30), CJ woke up feeling well rested and excited. Excited, because it’s national boba day and that means it’s idea to go down to Kung Fu Tea and get her some delicious brown sugar milk tea with egg pudding and honey boba. Not only did she get herself some boba, but also a mochi nut. She happily enjoyed her treats while people watching and scrolling through her phone at Kung Fu Tea. While scrolling through Good Reads, she found a book that caught her interest and she said to herself, ‘Let’s go to Barnes and Noble!’.

CJ loves the smell of books as she walked into the book store. She enjoys seeing the rows of bookshelves with colorful book covers. As she walks dow a row of books, she gently drag her finger across the spines of the books. Eventually, she finally found the book she was looking for. She was ecstatic to find out that it’s the special edition of the book and it’s the last one on the shelf. CJ can’t wait to go home and get comfy in her little reading nook and lose herself to a whole new world.

BUT WAIT! That’s not the end of her day. CJ decided to have a walk around the park and enjoy the nice spring weather. The park is empty and quiet just the way she likes. She took her time walking around the park and eventually decided to sit at a white gazebo on top of the hill. Once up there, the view was amazing. She can see the entire park and the sunset. CJ watched the sun go down and see the sky be filled with shades of pink, purple and orange. Now that the sun has set, it’s time to go home.

as CJ nestled in her comfy reading nook and opened her book, she felt at peace and thought to herself, “Best day ever”.
